Tres Hermanos Project Underway
|
In has been more than three years in the making, but the Tres Hermanos expansion project, which was
designed after the closing of 14th St., had the final designs approved by the City of Milwaukee Planning
Commission and Board of Zoning.
Designed by our Main Street partners, Zimmerman Design Group, the project includes an outdoor dining
terrace, parking lot, an art sculpture and public plaza landscaping. Construction begins this spring for
completion in July of 2008.
As part of the project, the Design Committee has commissioned local artist, Celine Farrell, to design a public
sculpture for Lincoln Village. Pictured above in the north side of the parking lot, the sculpture is currently
being fabricated with an estimate installation weeks after the patio grand opening.
Security Camera & Signage Grants
|
LVBA was recently awarded a $15,000 grant from the Helen Bader Foundation to enhance both security and
signage along our Main Street commercial corridor. As a member of LVBA, your business is eligible for
matching grant funds up $2,500 for a new sign, awning, or security camera system.
Along with proper lighting, a security camera system works both as a preventative measure and provides
piece of mind for your investment. LVBA has also negotiated a discount program for this equipment with
Midwest Security & Fire.
As a neighborhood business owner, your sign is the centerpiece of your advertising scheme. The quality of
your sign directly reflects the quality of your business to current and potential customers. This is an
opportunity to update, improve, or launch a new branding style for your business. This grant is available to
both new and existing businesses.
For more information on how you can apply for this grant and the discount program through Midwest Security
& Fire, contact Neil White at the LVBA office.
